Stories to captivate young hearts

When I was young, I often dreamed that I could fly. If I ran and jumped just right, my feet would lift from the ground, and I would float higher and higher—over lampposts and rooftops, and sometimes even into the clouds. I felt weightless, free, and happy. Waking from those dreams was always a disappointment.

That same imagination and optimism gave me the strength to raise my daughter and find my way through life’s many obstacles. Now, they allow me to reconnect with my younger, more playful self as I create meaningful and magical moments for children. When I write my stories, I feel those same whimsical flutters in my heart—the ones I once felt when I dreamed I could fly.

I love books. I love children. And I cherish the opportunity to leave a positive mark on a child’s heart and mind. My hope is that, no matter what a child has been through or may be facing, and no matter how much or how little they have, something as simple as a book can give them a moment of love, warmth, and happiness.

And perhaps, when the final page is turned, they might even dream of flying high among the clouds—where, for a little while, everything feels free and happy.
